Discovering Judaism
Kindergarten–4th Grade
Students explore Jewish holidays, Torah stories, Hebrew, prayer, and Jewish traditions through hands-on learning and joyful experiences.
Personalizing Judaism
5th–6th Grade
Students deepen their understanding of Jewish identity, values, lifecycle traditions, and personal connections to Judaism.
Embodying Judaism
7th–12th Grade
Students explore leadership, service, Jewish living, and flexible pathways that help them put Jewish values into action.
Gan Jeremiah (Pre-K)
Through Gan Jeremiah, our program geared toward children aged three through Pre-K, tots and their loving adults will sing, dance, craft, read, and laugh their way through Jewish learning.
Kindergarten–4th Grade
Our kindergarten through fourth grade classes are the perfect formal introductions to Jewish learning at Temple Jeremiah! These years are designed to create meaningful connections in the classroom and leave lasting memories between classmates, families, and beyond. Our program includes Hebrew learning and engagement in every grade, with extended Hebrew-focused learning opportunities beginning in the third grade.
5th–6th Grade
In the fifth and sixth grades, students begin to personalize their understanding of Judaism. The curriculum focuses on exploring what it means to be Jewish on a deeper level—both in practice and in identity. Students take a closer look at the meanings behind the holidays, dive deeper into Torah stories and other key texts, and explore the full range of Jewish lifecycle events—from birth rituals to B'nai Mitzvah, weddings, and mourning practices.
7th–12th Grade
In seventh through twelfth grades, students move from personal exploration to embodying Jewish values and leadership. These years are designed to empower students to live out their Judaism in meaningful, authentic ways—through learning, action, reflection, and community. With a wide range of program options and learning pathways, students are given more choices, ownership, and responsibility over how they engage. Whether deepening their knowledge, mentoring younger students, or taking on leadership roles, our teens continue their Jewish journey by putting their values into practice and making Judaism their own.

Young Family Engagement
The majority of our programming and engagement takes place on Sunday mornings. Each Sunday, while our students are in class, we offer programs and engagement opportunities for parents, grandparents, and all members of the Temple Jeremiah community.
Student Accommodations
Creating meaningful and accessible experiences for every student is a core value of J-Quest. We understand that support can look different for each learner, and we are committed to meeting those individual needs with care and flexibility. Our registration form includes expanded questions to help us gather information to set each student up for success. The more we know about your students, the better we can prepare our teachers and staff to create a supportive environment. We also know that things may change over the course of any given year, and we see this as an ongoing partnership. If there are any changes or additional accommodations that may be needed at any time, please be in touch with the Director of Congregational Learning.
Safety and Security
At Temple Jeremiah, the safety and well-being of our community is paramount. We have implemented comprehensive security measures to ensure a secure environment for all congregants, students, and visitors. Our protocols include controlled access to the building, with all entry points monitored and secured by off-duty uniformed police officers and sheriffs during J-Quest programming.
Our staff and clergy undergo regular training in emergency preparedness, including active threat response and first-aid procedures, in collaboration with security experts and local law enforcement. Additionally, we maintain a visible security presence during services and events to ensure immediate response capabilities.

Families who are Temple Jeremiah members are eligible to register for our J-Quest program. For the safety of our students and staff, guests and visitors are not permitted without prior authorization. We ask that all visitors—including guest students and prospective members—contact the Director of Congregational Learning prior to arriving on a Sunday morning.
For families exploring Temple Jeremiah, we're excited to offer opportunities for students to shadow classes throughout the year. We especially encourage prospective families to attend one of our "Taste of J-Quest" Sundays, where students can join the classroom experience, and parents can meet our team, tour the building, and learn more about our approach to Jewish education.
