Now more than ever, it’s important for us to shape our country through our votes. However, voter registration requirements create barriers for voter participation, particularly for the elderly and in communities of color.
Temple Jeremiah’s Social Justice Committee is partnering with RAC-IL on a voter registration drive! As a temple, we will be sending out postcards to unregistered, eligible voters in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Texas. Our goal is to send 1,000 postcards by the end of August, to help 1,000 new voters have their voices heard in the 2020 election.
To get involved, contact Nancy Eisenberg at nleslp@aol.com for a postcard kit, which will include:
- 30 postcards
- 30 names and addresses
- A script to write on the postcards
The deadline for contacting Nancy is Tuesday, July 14th at 5:00 p.m.
