While sheltering-at-home we are all looking for things to keep our families happy and busy. For many families in Waukegan, this struggle is exacerbated by a lack of computers and internet access.
With this in mind, Temple Jeremiah is hosting a coloring book donation drive to benefit underserved families in the Waukegan school district. What child doesn’t love to color? You can give some grade-schoolers a fun, happy way to spend time by donating new (or slightly used) coloring books. Simply drop them off at Temple Jeremiah no later than Sunday, May 10th at 10:00 a.m. There will be bins outside the main doors for convenient, no contact drop off.
In addition, clean plastic grocery bags (without holes) are desperately needed to distribute food and books; if you have any to give, there will be a separate bin for bags donated.
