Adult Learning: The History of the Jewish People in Rome

Temple Jeremiah was excited to be joined by Micaela Pavoncello for an Israel Action Committee/Adult Learning workshop on “The History of the Jewish People in Rome.”

Micaela is the owner of Jewish Roma Walking Tours and was personally chosen by Rick Steves to guide him through the Rome Jewish Ghetto. Micaela took us on a wonderful journey through the 22nd Century history of Jews in Rome. Special features of her talk included the WWII period in the Jewish ghetto, the relationship between Jews and the Catholic Church, and many more facets of Jewish life in Rome.
