Our date assignment survey is sent to families via email for students currently enrolled in Fourth Grade. All students need to be enrolled in Jeremiah’s Religious and Hebrew School to receive a date selection form. Each family is asked to provide their top three choices for their child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Each student must be 13 at the time of the service. We host Bar and Bat Mitzvah services every week during the year. The only exception is if Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur fall on a Saturday.
All B’nai Mitzvah take place on Saturday mornings, typically at 11:00 a.m. If the 11:00 a.m. service is filled and we have additional requests for that specific Saturday, we will open a 9:00 a.m. service. It is not uncommon for two students to be called to the Torah at the same service. This does not take away from the meaningfulness of the service. If your son or daughter has special learning needs, or if you have any specific concerns, please reach out to us.
You will receive an email with your child’s Bar or Bat Mitzvah date, time, and any information about sharing the service (who the service will be shared with and the contact information of the other family).
