Imagine a core of volunteers helping at Temple Jeremiah daily…
Imagine reaching out to congregants and making stronger connections with each other…
– Rabbi Paul Cohen, Yom Kippur 2009
Sherut L’Am (Service to our People) is a great starting point to get involved at Temple Jeremiah. To volunteer through your temple family, read on below to learn more about the volunteer opportunities we have to offer.
Assist in the office with a variety of tasks including: preparing mailings, updating databases, making phone calls and any other tasks that might assist the office staff. Contact Sheila at email@example.com or 847.441.0202.
Help sell bagels to our religious school students and parents on Sunday mornings. It’s a great way to meet new people and volunteer for a one-time, minimal time commitment. To sign up, visit our Signup Genius page.
Be an usher for Friday night or Saturday morning services. Help welcome guests to Temple Jeremiah. Ushers will pass out prayer books and the Sabbath Light, assist with seating, coordinate with ushers provided by Bar/Bat Mitzvah families, etc. For more information or to volunteer, contact Vicki Weisenberg at firstname.lastname@example.org or 847.480.1541.
Are you outgoing and good at meeting new people? We need your help making Temple Jeremiah even more welcoming. Volunteer to be on the welcoming committee and help greet new, prospective, and longtime members at worship and events. If you are interested, please contact Membership Chair Alisa Patterson at 847.945.2077 or email@example.com.
Volunteer to cook a meal, attend a shiva, or lend support – visit the Caring Community page for more information.
From Backpack Blessings to Family Promise to Feed the Hungry and much more- we need your help as we help others. Visit the Social Justice page for more information.
