Imagine a core of volunteers helping at Temple Jeremiah daily…
Imagine reaching out to congregants and making stronger connections with each other…
– Rabbi Paul Cohen, Yom Kippur 2009
Sherut L’Am (Service to our People) is a great starting point to get involved at Temple Jeremiah. To volunteer through your temple family, read on below to learn more about the volunteer opportunities we have to offer.
Assist in the office with a variety of tasks including: preparing mailings, updating databases, making phone calls and any other tasks that might assist the office staff. Contact Donna at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 847.441.5760.
Help sell bagels to our religious school students and parents on Sunday mornings. It’s a great way to meet new people and volunteer for a one-time, minimal time commitment. To sign up, please visit our Bagel Bar Sign-Up Genius page.
Be an usher for Friday night or Saturday morning services. Help welcome guests to Temple Jeremiah. Ushers will pass out prayer books and the Sabbath Light, assist with seating, coordinate with ushers provided by Bar/Bat Mitzvah families, etc. For more information or to volunteer, contact Vicki Weisenberg at email@example.com or 847.480.1541.
Are you outgoing and good at meeting new people? We need your help making Temple Jeremiah even more welcoming.
