Are you having a hard time getting a job?
Job Search/Job Skills
Coaching Sessions
Selected Mondays
7:00 pm
Contact Ross Wolfson or the temple office to find out the next meeting date
Are you unemployed? Under-employed? Do you need to improve your resumé, cover letter or handbill? Do you need help with your interview skills or developing target companies to apply to? Do you want to develop your networking skills? Would you like to utilize “Linked In” for your search? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of the above, come to our Job Search/Job Skills program and accountability groups.
Run by three temple members in the HR and search industry, these programs are designed to provide the help you need. You must be a Temple Jeremiah member to attend. Bring your resumé and all other related search materials which you are using.
Two parallel programs are offered. The first program
deals with individual job search questions and support.
One-on-one counseling is offered, including
resumé and cover letter review, job search and networking
strategies, interviewing techniques, etc.
The second
program is an ongoing networking and accountability group
discussion, offering ideas
for a job-specific search. Occasionally speakers
are brought in for topical issues of interest to participants
Reform Judaism Magazine published an article in its Fall 2009 issue, "Community Cures for Economic Blues," which looked at the efforts Temple Jeremiah and other synagogues nation-wide are undertaking to address their congregants' job search needs.
In addition, Triblocal.com ran a story July 6, 2009 about the job search services churches and synagogues are offering their congregants and featured information on Temple Jeremiah's counseling sessions.
