We’re so excited to celebrate the holiday and our Temple Jeremiah Purim traditions with you! Check out this year’s Purim schedule and festivities below.

Purim Shpiel

Join us on Wednesday, March 16th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. for this year’s Purim Shpiel, Jeremiah’s Got Talent: Purim Edition.

Twas the night before Purim and all through the Schule, not a member was absent, for they were no fools! Their talents they found and practiced with care, in hopes that community soon would be there! Music, gymnastics, and dancing so fine, and even some limericks for those who dare utter a line. 

On Wednesday, March 16th at 6:00 p.m., Jeremiah’s biggest and brightest stars, and most creative and innovative members will showcase their very special talents for our congregation. There will be prizes and awards! Open to members of all ages, all kinds of acts, solos, ensembles, groups; If you dream it, we will love it!

Simply fill out this form to let Cantor Friedman know what you’d like to do. Conscientious objector audience members are also welcome! Please submit by Monday, March 14th. 

Shushan Shuffle

On Sunday, March 13th at 8:30 a.m., our day of Purim activities begins with the 19th Annual Shushan Shuffle 5K Run/Walk! Start Purim off with a great workout for a great cause.

This year’s Shushan Shuffle is dedicated in memory of Mickey Hammerman, who almost never missed a Shuffle.

Run or walk with other Temple Jeremiah members. Bring your friends!

Registration is $18 and proceeds from this run/walk will benefit SHALVA. For questions, contact Danny Glassman or 847.441.5760 ext. 102.

SHALVA’s mission is to promote tranquility and safety in Jewish homes and relationships through the prevention and alleviation of domestic abuse.

Purim Carnival

On Sunday, March 13th at 9:30 a.m., our day of Purim activities continues with our Purim Carnival! 

Celebrate Purim with games, prizes, costumes, singing, stories, an inflatable obstacle course, snacks, fun(draising), and more! We will also have a special appearance by Staam A Cappella group at 9:30 a.m.! Please note that masks are required to be worn at the carnival. For questions, contact Shira Brandhandler.
