Lunch & Learn in Chicago
The downtown Lunch & Learn season with Rabbi Cohen has begun with the broad theme for this season of “The Mussar of Work: Aligning our Work with our Values.” At each meeting, through lively and interactive encounter, we will learn from Mussar texts, texts that guide us in taking the values of Torah and bringing them to life in the work we do. Mussar is the response to the question: “How do I walk in God’s ways?” We will have six Lunch & Learns this season on the dates listed below. Please mark your calendars now!
Big News This Year: All six lunches will be hosted by long-time congregant, board member, and current Temple legal counsel, Ed Shapiro, and his firm, Much Shelist, at 191 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 1800. Thank you, Ed! (Parking is located in Ed’s building. The entrance is on Lake Street, just east of Wacker Drive. There is also a slightly less expensive parking option at 180 N. Franklin Street. The entrance to that garage is also on Lake Street and the garage door is adjacent to the door for Ed’s building. You can’t miss it.)
If you haven’t been to Lunch & Learn in the past, or it’s been a while, we think you’ll find these discussions to be thought-provoking and fun. Absolutely no experience or knowledge of Hebrew is needed. Participate as much or as little as you wish. Each meeting stands alone, so it’s no problem if you can only make one or two. Yes, you can bring a friend, whether or not they are a member of Temple Jeremiah, although please remember to include the names of all attendees in your RSVP.
2017-2018 Lunch & Learn Dates:
Each meeting begins at 12:00 p.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m., usually on the first Wednesday of the month.
