Sign Up to Receive Free Jewish-Content Books and Music

The PJ Library

Click above to subscribe to an exciting program for your child, age six months to eight years of age.

The PJ Library supports families in their Jewish journey by sending Jewish-content books and CDs once a month at no cost. Over the course of a year, families will receive ten children's books, one CD and a parenting book for adults.

Funded by an anonymous family foundation, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Chicago, the PJ Library is designed to ensure all Jews feel a part of the Jewish communities and raise their children with Judaism in the home. Over 125 communities currently participate in the program, with 48,000 books sent monthly..

“We lead such a secular life that I wouldn't have thought to find Jewish books for my daughter; however, I was almost in tears when I got "Bible Heroes I Can Be" and realized that it's not too early to start sharing this special part of our lives with her. Receiving these books and materials is a constant reminder that I'm part of a bigger community and I can't express how important that has been to me.”—PJ Mother from San Francisco, CA

An Addition to our Temple Jeremiah Facilities

The Center for Learning Playground

in Loving Memory
of Julie Sorkin

"No one has yet realized the wealth of sympathy, the kindness and generosity hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be to unlock that treasure."
- Emma Goldman

Temple Jeremiah is pleased to offer this beautiful facility for our youngsters. Dedicated on April 25, 2004, the playground is a living memorial to one of our beloved congregants, Julie Sorkin. Visit it the next time you're at Temple Jeremiah.
